Even though Joe Jeanette, and Sam McVea were great fighters, Sam Langford was the most dangerous black fighter at that time with Harry Wills still a little young during that time period. Johnson had fought all of these men and had a pretty tough battle with Langford and of course never gave any of them a title shot. Even though Langford was a great fighter and certainly capable of beating Johnson, I still think Johnson would have held on to his title against him and the other deserving black fighters of that time as well.
