Wedding gown as costume?

I have the most elaborate wedding gown. Sequins, embroidery, pearls galore. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! I want to wear it for my costumer. Add a tiera, a set of glittery wings, a wand, silver shoes. Maybe tuck the front up and leave the train down( or pin the train up in the back but still leave it longer)And cover myself entirely with glitter.
Would that look stupid?
I have always done the whole scary blood and gore costumes. This year - I kinda want to do the fairy theme! Any suggestions or ideas?

I think that would work wonderfully, but remember how will you feel if you dump apple cider on it at your party. If you are okay at that go for it! Why waste a dress you only wore once! You will need accessories see below.
