THOMASVILLE — Participation is up for Thomasville girls soccer. That’s encouraging for coach Martha Murray. “We’ve got a big group of players out. We’ve got over 30 players out for varsity and JV,” said Murray, whose team will open the season on Monday at Lee County.
Bond No.9 Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue
This is the third in line for the Bond No.9 Andy Warhol Collection, with an eye-catching bottle. The bottle pays homage to Andy Warhol's early days as a shoe illustrator. It's extremely colorful and decorative with a graphic screen of shoes on it. It was introduced in August 2008 in connection with what would have been Andy Warhol's 80th Birthday (August 6, 1928). The fragrance was supposed to be launching in stores September 2008.
The notes are foresty and citrusy (Chypre), mixed in with a brew of peony, orris, patchouli, sandalwood, cardamom, fennel, almonds, cumin, and even crème brulee (http://www.bondno9.com/, 2008). The fragrance was designed to be a fall/ wintery fragrance. It was created by Robert Lee Morris in cooperation with perfumer, Claude Dir of Givaudan.
Prices will range from $135 for a 50ml bottle to $195 for a 100ml bottle. There will also be a limited edition bottle which will be draped with 4 shoe shaped, sterling silver pendants, made available around the holiday season. The suggested retail price collectors will have to pay for this bottle is $575. Another collector's bottle will also be in the shape of a shoe and will be fiberglass. The bottle will be 50 mls of pure parfum and will come in three different colors: fuchsia, lavender, and white. This bottle will be priced at around $1100 and will be made available in November. The fragrance will be sold at all Bond No 9 flagship stores and Saks Fifth Avenue. It also might be available at some fragrance stores online.
